#LOCKONTOLOOPS – Hearing Loop Awareness Campaign

Better Hearing Australia Brisbane’s Campaign for Queensland’s Disability Action Week 2023

Embarking on “Queensland’s Disability Action Week 2023 – Access ignites: it’s good business”, Better Hearing Australia Brisbane launches the #LOCKONTOLOOPS campaign, advocating for enhanced hearing accessibility through hearing loops across a range of diverse sectors.

Join us as we strive for a more inclusive and accessible Queensland under the banner of #LOCKONTOLOOPS.

Why Hearing Loops?

For Consumers – For Better Hearing

We want hearing device users to lock on to the benefits of loops, utilise compatible devices with telecoil facility, and prefer events with functioning hearing loops. #LOCKONTOLOOPS

For Clinicians – For Better Outcomes

We want audiology clinics and audiologists to recognise the importance of hearing loops and telecoils as current communication tools, recommend compatible devices, instruct clients on accessing loops via telecoils, and refer them to online resources. #LOCKONTOLOOPS

For Event and Venue Managers – For Better Sound

We want event and venue managers to understand the importance of providing functioning hearing loops to fulfil Human Rights obligations, avoid complaints under the Disability Discrimination Act, meet the needs of an important market segment, and publicly promote their availability. #LOCKONTOLOOPS

For Businesses – For Better Experiences

We want business owners and managers to understand the vast number of Queenslanders experiencing hearing loss and recognise the importance of hearing accessibility to the customer experience. We want businesses to know that small changes, like providing a mobile loop, can greatly impact their customers and patrons. #LOCKONTOLOOPS
