Community Connect Hearing Loss Support Groups
Community Connect Hearing Loss Support Groups are run by volunteers in a friendly environment of peer support and social connection with a focus on self-help.
Supported by Better Hearing Australia Brisbane, groups are free to join (though some groups may charge a small fee to pay for a meeting space with a cup of coffee or tea included), and friends, family, and significant others are encouraged to attend.
Each group runs differently to suit their needs, but meetings are usually informal and take place at local cafés, libraries, community centres, or other public meeting spaces.
Our Community Connect Hearing Loss Support Groups
We currently have Community Connect groups in five locations throughout Greater Brisbane, but we are looking at expanding throughout the state so every Queenslander can access community support should they want it.
If there is no group in your location, why not start one? We will be there to support you every step of the way.
