BHA Welcomes Ellen Mackenzie – Clinical Audiology Consultant
BHA has welcomed Ellen Mackenzie to the BHA team in a part-time role as our Clinical Audiology Consultant.
Ellen will ensure the information we produce and advocacy we undertake, is backed by the latest clinical evidence and best practice in audiology.
Ellen’s tertiary qualifications includes a Speech Pathology degree and a Masters in Audiology in which she was awarded the Upfold Prize for the highest cumulative grade point average — so she knows her stuff.
After graduating Ellen worked as an audiologist for two reputable audiology companies before establishing and running her own independent audiology practice.
Ellen has also undertaken volunteer work at the Hear and Say Centre.
Apart from providing clinical expertise to our content and advocacy services, Ellen will also apply her experience and knowledge to our Hearing Help Desk ensuring clinically appropriate responses to your questions, as well as provide oversight and partner clinic support for our Hearing Access Program.
Having Ellen on board will ensure BHA continues to provide excellent, knowledgeable support and services to the hearing loss community, which we have been doing since 1946.
