ACE Your Hearing for Veterans

Because there are things you don’t want to miss…

Communicate better with UQ’s ACE Your Hearing Program

Hearing loss can be challenging in all sorts of ways, not just for you but those around you as well, particularly family and friends.

Maybe you’ve been avoiding doing some of the things you used to enjoy or maybe you don’t go out as much anymore because it’s simply too hard to hear.

With the new ACE Your Hearing program, you can do something about it and get back to doing the things you enjoy.

Course Details

ACE Your Hearing is a newly updated version of the well-established Active Communication Education program.

UQ is offering this valuable program free to eligible participants and inviting feedback to help shape its future delivery.

ACE Program Benefits

ACE Your Hearing from UQ helps people with hearing loss, and those close to them, build additional confidence, learn practical communication strategies, and feel less tired and frustrated in everyday life.

Whether or not you wear hearing aids, the program offers a supportive space to learn from others, share experiences, and find better ways to communicate together.

ACE Your Hearing helps with communication including:

  1. Improving Everyday Communication: Learn practical, evidence-based strategies to better manage conversations in real-world settings.
  2. Building Confidence: Regain confidence in social interactions and reduce the stress and anxiety often linked with hearing challenges.
  3. Reducing Isolation: Reconnect with your community and feel more included and supported in group and one-on-one settings.

Program Feedback

UQ will be requesting feedback prior to and after the program with participants who complete the feedback eligible for 2 x $25 gift cards to thank them in addition to entry to the free program.

Registered participants will be asked to sign a Participant Information and Consent form.

Dates and Venue

This course has been postponed but we are hosting a general public ACE program in June 2026 open to all.
